I am so excited to share this conversation with you! I've been following Lisa Parente and Eva Kapatos from Rhythmic Metamorphosis on social media for quite some time, and finally getting to meet them face-to-face was absolutely incredible.

These two energy workers are doing something completely unique in the healing space that literally no one else is doing.

As a millennial who spent plenty of time on dance floors in my twenties (with way more energy than I have now at 37), I have such deep appreciation for what they've created. If you're curious about energy work, trauma healing, or just want to understand how music can be a powerful tool for entrepreneurship and personal growth, this episode is going to blow your mind.

I am so excited to share this conversation with you!

What Makes Rhythmic Metamorphosis So Special

Lisa and Eva have created something I've never seen before - they're taking the ancient art of sound healing and applying it to DJ sets. Yes, you read that right. They're creating sound ceremonies that birth from the dance floor, combining spiritual healing practices with the energy and movement of electronic music.

Eva has been a DJ since 2006 and started her journey with yoga teacher training about six years ago. When she couldn't find anyone using sound the way she heard it and wanted to apply it to her practice, she knew she had to create it herself. Then she met Lisa, who had similar ideas, and together they've built this incredible practice that helps people heal through rhythm and movement.

Here's what I love about their approach: they understand that moving your body is one of the most important things you can do to express yourself and hold space for whatever you're feeling. It's not just about the music - it's about creating a complete healing experience.

The Power of Entrepreneurial Partnership

One thing that really struck me about Lisa and Eva is how perfectly they complement each other as business partners. Eva describes herself as having ADHD and being a big idea person - her brain needs neutral time to come up with those huge, gigantic epiphanies. Lisa helps take those ideas and turn them into actionable steps.

This is something I completely understand. I recently partnered with Christina at the Neuro-Spicy Academy, and we've discovered the same thing - her gaps I can fill with my strengths, and vice versa. When you find someone whose strengths complement your weaknesses, you really do become superhuman together.

The key insight they shared? Stop trying to make your weaknesses your strengths. Understanding the whole process is important, but if you hate doing something and you're not good at it, find someone who excels at it. As they put it, "when you're constantly beating against the wall for no reason, you're not going to go anywhere."

Building Authentic Relationships in Business

What I absolutely love about Lisa and Eva is their commitment to authenticity, especially when it comes to neurodivergence. Eva openly talks about being neurodivergent and how it affects her interactions. She's learned to ask people directly what they need because sometimes she won't catch social cues or might be more direct than expected.

This vulnerability is where real trust gets built. Taking down that mask and opening up space for authentic connection - even when it's uncomfortable - is how you create lasting business relationships. They're not trying to be everyone's cup of tea, and that's exactly what makes them so magnetic.

The Daily Practice That Changes Everything

Here's something that really got my attention: the practice they created for the world - Rhythmic Metamorphosis - is something they both use every single day. It's how they healed their trauma, how they continue working with their healing journey, and how they celebrate life daily.

Movement, music, sound, singing - moving your body is the most important thing you can do to express yourself and hold space for whatever you're feeling. They start their mornings with their own ritual before doing any work, making sure their cup is filled so they can pour out of that cup.

Eva shared something profound about self-care: "self care is a form of self love, so anything that's going to make me feel that, that's what I do." Sometimes it's just going outside and looking at the sun for five minutes, reminding yourself that you are that light. That's self-care. That's self-love.

Trauma Healing and Inner Child Work

One of the most powerful parts of our conversation was about trauma healing. Eva shared a practice that absolutely rocked me: she keeps a picture of her four-year-old self in a little tutu on her altar. Every day she goes up and says, "Holy shit, look at the life that you're living! It's so amazing. How can I hold space for you today?"

But here's the technique that really got me: when a big emotion comes up, she asks herself, "When was the first time I felt this way?" This helps her identify which version of herself needs attention - is this her 12-year-old self having a moment? Her teenage self rebelling? Understanding where the emotion originates helps her know how to address it.

Lisa shared something that really landed: trauma isn't about the severity of the event, but about how alone you felt when it happened. Most of the time, it's about your younger self not having the tools to understand what was happening, and the people around you not explaining it or somehow making it about you being inadequate.

Protecting Your Energy as an Entrepreneur

Here's something every entrepreneur needs to hear: you have to be selective about who you share your goals with. As Lisa put it, "you have to be delusional about your success and your dreams." When you share your vision out of excitement with people who don't live in that space of believing anything is possible, they can bring up doubt or start questioning what you're saying.

Not everyone is living their life with intention for the better good. Some people aren't even aware they're setting intentions. That's why protecting your energy is so crucial.

I learned this lesson the hard way when I was still working at a restaurant before going full-time with my business. A coworker came up to me asking about my "little YouTube thing" (it was TikTok), and when I told him I had 25,000 followers, his shocked reaction made me realize how many people were underestimating me. My spirit guides were very clear after that: stop telling people your shit. Nobody wants you to succeed.

Lisa and Eva have a gentler perspective - they see it as people projecting their own feelings about not succeeding or fulfilling their dreams. Either way, the lesson is the same: be mindful about who gets access to your energy and your dreams.

What's Next for Rhythmic Metamorphosis

Lisa and Eva have some exciting projects in the works, including a course specifically designed to help people heal through breakups "in a way that makes you feel like you're at a rave." How perfect is that?

They're taking some time this summer to focus on producing new content, but they'll be back to traveling and doing retreats, shows, and smaller ceremonies toward the end of the summer. Make sure you're following them so you can get first dibs on all their announcements.

The Bottom Line

What I love most about Lisa and Eva is that they've created something completely authentic to who they are. They took their individual passions - music, healing, entrepreneurship - and found a way to blend them into something the world has never seen before.

Every day is a win for them because they're fulfilling their soul's purpose, and their purpose is fueled by their passion. They understand that the only moment that matters is right now - you're not on a journey to somewhere else, you're living inside of a dance.

Life's a dance, and we're all on the dance floor. Might as well move to the rhythm that feels most authentic to you.
